Although epoxy resin remains the industry standard due to its durability, phenolic resin is the growing trend in most laboratory designs. In addition to its weight and low cost, phenolic resin tips are easy to change during production.
The kraft paper layering and coating process provides excellent resistance to wear and tear, although it is not as good as epoxy.
