Basic structure of clean room and methods to prevent cross contamination

Dec 30, 2021

The general composition of a clean room includes

1. Ceiling system: including suspenders, beams, ceiling lattice beams

2. Air conditioning system: including air cabin, filter system, windmill, etc.

3. Partition board: including windows and doors

4. Floor: Including raised floor or anti-static comfort floor

5. Lighting appliances: including fluorescent lamps, yellow tubes, etc.

Under the premise of the method of preventing cross-contamination of the clean room, we must make a reasonable layout. For the indoor layout, it is necessary to carry out the layout according to a reasonable technological process to avoid going back and forth. Reasonable layout is not only conducive to process operation, but also conducive to space integration. The size of the clean room is not the bigger the better. The air supply rate is determined according to the area and the size of the space, and also determines the energy consumption. The area of the clean room cannot be too large or too small. It should not be too small to affect operation and maintenance. A reasonable layout is based on the consideration of equipment size and process operation requirements. The production area and storage area should have a space suitable for the scale of production for the placement of equipment and materials for easy operation and maintenance. There should be an intermediate station for materials inside the workshop, with an area sufficient to store materials, intermediate products, products to be inspected and finished products, and easy to clearly partition, so as to minimize errors and cross-contamination. The material, processing accuracy, airtightness and management system of the equipment are related to cross-contamination. Therefore, in addition to reasonable layout, the automation level of the equipment and the formation of a linked production line are increased to reduce the number of operators and reduce the frequency of personnel activities to prevent cross-contamination. Necessary measures.

Next, the clean room management system is derived, and we need to abide by its management system

1. The personnel entering the clean room should strictly require the implementation of the personal purification system, route and sequence. When exiting the clean room, you must follow the above sequence and route, and it is not allowed to take clean supplies out of the hall

2. If there is a shower room, it must be showered according to regulations before entering the clean room. At the same time, strictly in accordance with the specifications and use requirements of the air shower room, control the number of people entering the air shower room each time, and it is not allowed to forcibly shut down the running fan or power supply in the air shower room. Generally, the number of dust particles emitted on the surface of the human body after the air shower 40-60% reduction

3. In order not to interfere with the clean air flow in the room, objects should not be placed on the upstream side of the work area, and objects should not be stacked near the air return; objects should not be blocked and stacked under the air supply orifice, and the production operation should be on a clean bench or air flow Upstream

4. It is not allowed to bring items that are not related to production and easy to produce dust into the clean room

5. Smoking, eating, and non-productive activities in clean rooms are strictly prohibited

6. Before entering the clean room, personal belongings must be put into the designated cabinet, makeup and jewelry should be removed, and the designated clean clothes and shoes should be put on

7. When wearing a hat, all hair should be covered, and the shoe cover should wrap the hem of the trousers tightly in the shoe cover

8. When taking off clean work clothes, avoid that work clothes touch the ground, tables and other objects. Generally, take off work clothes from bottom to top, and store them in a cabinet or hang them in a prescribed place.

9. When exiting the clean room, it is not allowed to take off the clean work clothes before the changing area; if you take off the work clothes and then enter the clean room, you still need to follow the specified order of entering the clean room

10. When exiting the clean room, you can enter the replacement area without blowing air, and so on.
