Laboratory water is divided into three categories: tap water, pure water and ultrapure water. Pay attention to the following items when using it:
Conserve water and take as much water as you need.
Select the appropriate water according to the quality requirements of the water required for the experiment. Wash glassware with tap water first, and finally with pure water; ultrapure water should be used for chromatography, mass spectrometry and biological experiments (including buffer configuration, hydroponics, microbial culture medium preparation, chromatography and mass spectrometry, etc.).
Neither ultrapure water nor pure water should be stored, just take it whenever you need it. If it is not used for a long time, before restarting it, turn on the water intake switch, let the ultrapure water or pure water flow out for about a few minutes before using it again.
Remember to turn off the tap after use.
