1. Explosion accident
Reasons: Violation of operating procedures, igniting flammable materials, resulting in an explosion; aging equipment, faults or defects, resulting in leakage of flammable and explosive materials, causing an explosion when encountering sparks.
Such accidents mostly occur in laboratories with flammable and explosive materials and pressure vessels.
2. Biosafety accidents
Reasons: Omissions and accidents in the management of microbiology laboratories can not only lead to infection of laboratory workers, but also cause environmental pollution and large-scale population infection; the waste generated by biological laboratories is even more dangerous than that of chemical laboratories. Biological waste contain infectious bacteria, viruses, chemical pollutants and radioactive harmful substances, which may pose great harm to human health and environmental pollution.
3. Equipment damage accident
Reason: Sudden power failure caused by line failure or lightning strike, resulting in the heated medium not being restored to its original state as required, resulting in equipment damage; high-speed moving equipment collided or squeezed due to careless operation, resulting in equipment damage.
Such accidents mostly occur in laboratories heated by electricity.
