Sterile Room Overall Layout Requirements

Mar 28, 2023

Sterile room: The aseptic room provides a relatively sterile working environment for microbial experiments through air purification and space disinfection. The aseptic room is the main workshop for processing samples and inoculation and culture, and should be connected with the bacterial inspection operation room. closely related. In order to meet the aseptic requirements of the aseptic room, the design of the aseptic room should meet the following layout:

1. The sterile room should have two rooms, the inner room and the outer room. The inner room is the sterile room, and the outer room is the buffer room. The volume of the room should not be too large to facilitate air sterilization. The minimum area of the inner room is 2×2.5=5m2, the area of the outer room is 1×2=2m2, the height should be less than 2.5m, and there should be a ceiling.

2. The entrance avoids the corridor and is located in the bacteria inspection operation room.

3. It is separated from the operating room by two buffers.

4. Both the sterile room and the buffer room are equipped with ultraviolet lamps, and it is required to install a 30w ultraviolet lamp every 3 square meters.

5. There is a center of the test bench in the sterile room (both the test bench and the side table are acceptable), and the distance between the ultraviolet lamp and the test bench should be less than 1.5m.

6. There is a double-layer window between the sterile room and the operating room to form a small passage.

7. The bacteria room is equipped with an air conditioner according to the local temperature characteristics, so as to be suitable for bacteria experiments. At the same time, the necessary fire-fighting equipment should be installed indoors

8. The aseptic operation room and buffer room should be set up in the aseptic room. The cleanliness of the aseptic operation room should reach level 10,000, the indoor temperature should be kept at 20-24, and the humidity should be kept at 45-60%. The cleanliness of the clean bench should reach Class 100.

9. Keep the sterile room clean, do not pile up garbage, and prevent pollution. Strictly prevent the contamination of all sterilizing equipment and media, and stop using the contaminated ones.

10. The sterile room is regularly sterilized and cleaned with appropriate disinfectant to ensure that the cleanliness of the sterile room meets the requirements.

11. Things with live bacteria can be washed under water after sterilization, and it is strictly forbidden to pollute the sewer.
