Protective Engineering Design Of Medical Cleaning Equipment Supporting Project

Mar 14, 2023

1. IT system electricity security

When using medical IT systems, in order to ensure safe use, the following technical requirements should be met:

1) For multiple adjacent rooms or beds with the same function, at least one independent medical IT system should be installed.
2) Medical IT systems should be equipped with insulation monitors and should meet the following requirements:

The AC internal resistance should be greater than or equal to 100kΩ.
The test voltage should not be greater than DC 25V.
Under any fault condition, the test current peak value should not be greater than 1mA

When the resistance is reduced to 50kΩ, an alarm should be displayed, and test facilities should be configured.
It should have RS485 interface and a variety of common communication protocols to choose from.
3) Each medical IT system should be equipped with signal lights and sound and light alarm devices to display the working status. Sound and light alarm devices should be installed in places with full-time personnel on duty.
4) The medical isolation transformer should be equipped with overload and high temperature monitoring.

PART02

2. Power-off protection for indirect electric contact

Type 1 and Type 2 medical places should be equipped with power-off protection to prevent indirect electric contact. The technical points are as follows:
1) For IT and TN systems, the expected contact voltage should not exceed 25V.
2) The maximum breaking time of TN system should be 0.2s for 230V and 0.05s for 400V.
3) The neutral point of the IT system is not allocated, and the maximum breaking time of 230V should be 0.2s.

PART03

3. Distribution pipeline material selection

The power distribution pipeline in the clean room should be laid in metal pipes. Wire conduits passing through walls and floors should be sleeved and sealed with non-combustible materials. There must be no burrs at the mouth of the wire pipe entering the clean room, and the wire pipe should be sealed with non-corrosive and non-combustible materials after threading. Technical points:

1) It must be guaranteed that the special power-consuming parts that cannot be cut off will not be short-circuited due to burnt wires in the event of a fire.

2) The seal is to prevent the exchange of air flow inside and outside the pipeline.

4. Clean room area power supply

The power supply in the clean area should be equipped with a surge protector. Technical points:

1) Prevent surge current generated when lightning strikes or when other large electrical equipment starts and stops.

2) To prevent radio communication equipment from interfering with medical electrical equipment, it is forbidden to install wireless communication equipment in clean operating rooms. At the same time, in order to prevent electromagnetic pulse from lightning strikes and protect medical electronic equipment, so as not to cause personal safety threats.

3) For the lightning protection level of building electronic information system, please refer to the relevant contents of GB50343-2012 "Technical Specifications for Lightning Protection of Building Electronic Information System".

4) The connecting wire of the surge protector should be short and straight, and its length should not be greater than 0.5m. When the surge protector has the function of automatic energy coordination, the direct line length of the surge protector is not limited, and the surge protector should have Overcurrent protection device and deterioration display function.

5) The surge protector should have a signal output device.
